The idea

Thomas had walked with Jesus and seen the miracles, yet when the others said they'd seen the risen Lord, he said he needed to see the wounds himself. A week later Jesus came and gave him exactly that, with the words "stop doubting and believe." He didn't shame Thomas or remove him from the group. Questions aren't the enemy, and Scripture tells us to test what we hear. Nobody starts out knowing everything, whether it's marriage, a new job, or faith. You learn along the way, and the only way from point A to point Z is to start the journey.

Take it with you

  • Bring honest questions to God and to a more mature believer.
  • Don't wait for every answer before you begin.
  • Faith isn't boring. God made humor and joy too.
